Dr. Gingras is a graduate of Laval University (Quebec). He completed his residency at W.S.Hall Psychiatric Institute, Columbia S.C. and his fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Mount Sinai NYC N-Y. He also completed a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry and is certified by the Association of Forensic Medical College in 1979. He has occupied various positions as clinician and Medical Director of Long Term and Child Psychiatric facilities. He joined the USAF in 1979 where he became the Chief of the Mental Health Clinic at Langley AFB and was deployed during the Iraq Desert Storm/Desert Shield as Colonel in charge of Mental Health throughout the campaign. After completing his assignment with the military. He has opened a successful private clinic with offices in Hampton and in Norfolk. He has been active as CEO/Medical Director at Hampton Mental Health Associates since 1991.
Ms. Gingras obtained her B.Sc. Nursing degree at University of Montreal in Quebec, Canada, in 1976. She worked ten years at Ste-Therese Hospital, a long-term psychiatric hospital. She was a psychiatric Head-nurse for 6 years and coordinator of Ambulatory Services for period of 4 years. After moving to the United States, she worked at Mary-Immaculate Hospital on the surgical and telemetry units. She obtained her Master degree in Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner in 1996 from Hampton University, Virginia, and completed her Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist for Adult in 1997 and Children/ Adolescent in 1998. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Hampton Mental Health Associates in the outpatient clinic, treating adults and children in need of mental health services. She accepted the position of Clinical Director for Tidewater Mental Health In Home Services in 2006, a division of Hampton Mental Health Associates, dedicated to prevent out-of-home placement for children/ adolescents. She is also supervising the Mental Health Support program since 2011, designed to provide support and training to a severely challenged mental health adult population.
Dr. Andreanne Gingras completed her undergraduate degree in Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006. She continued at Virginia Commonwealth University to complete her medical degree in 2011. She then completed her residency in General Adult Psychiatry at the University of Virginia in 2014, where she stayed to complete a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2016. She joined Hampton Mental Health Associates to provide psychiatric services to adults and children full-time in 2016.
Dr. Sabonya is a graduate of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Her experience includes being the Executive Medical Director of Riverside Behavioral Health Center for many years. She has been in private practice with Hampton Mental Health Associates since 2004.
Ms. Jarek is a graduate of Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire. She specializes in assessing, evaluating and treating many psychiatric conditions across the life span. She worked as a registered nurse for nearly a decade before obtaining a Master’s degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric NP.
Ms. Muhlhauser is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is retired from the USAF where she spent 20 years in service as a nurse and then later as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health at Andrews Air Force Base. She has been with Hampton Mental Health Associates since July of 2014.
Ms. Stephens is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has extensive experience managing acute and chronic mental health problems. She has been with Hampton Mental Health Associates since July of 2014.
Mrs. Charles enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) after graduating high school. She applied for and was accepted to a Nurse Enlisted Commissioning Program (NECP). After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida (UCF), she earned a commission and became a Registered Nurse (RN) and member of the USAF Nurse Corps. While continuing her military service, she began to pursue her graduate degree. She retired from the Air Force and completed her MSN degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University. She has experience caring for diverse patient populations across the lifespan with acute and chronic mental health conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Ms. Kulp is a graduate of Hampton University, Hampton, VA, and Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA. She has extensive experience in the treatment of substance abuse/addiction. She has been in practice at Hampton Mental Health Associates since 2006.
Ms. Townsend is a graduate of Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA. She has extensive experience working with addiction, individual, and family therapy. She has been in practice with Hampton Mental Health Associates since 2000.
Ms. Vollette is a graduate of Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA. She has extensive experience working with substance abuse, hospice, dialysis, homelessness, community services, mental health disabilities, and in the jail environment. She has been with Hampton Mental Health Associates since January 2012.
Ms. Williams is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. She has extensive experience in the area of child sexual abuse, individual, marital, and family therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Ms. Gingras is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Master’s of Social Work degree. She has experience with child, adolescent, adult and family therapy. She has been with Hampton Mental Health Associates since 2014 as a therapist.
