Hampton Mental Health Associates is composed of experienced Licensed Mental Health Providers, qualified to provide services to different age groups. The team includes Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors. Several of our providers have acquired a vast experience in specialized fields, contributing to offer a very comprehensive approach to a diversified population with specific needs.

Outpatient Services Offered:

Psychiatric Evaluation: Evaluations are performed by Psychiatrists and/or Nurse Practitioners to assess a person’s mental status, thought processes, and cognitive abilities. The goals are typically diagnosis and treatment recommendations including medication management and referrals such as therapy and additional psychological testing, when indicated.

Individual Therapy: Psychotherapeutic session of a duration of 30 to 45 minutes, involving therapist and client to discuss and address issues reported by the client and contributing to the emotional and/or behavioral disturbances.

Counseling: Sessions focus on identifying dysfunctional relational patterns in the family structure and assist the family to develop communication skills and healthy boundaries to reach family stability and growth within the natural environment. Sessions address troublesome differences or repeating patterns of distress in a relationship with a goal to identify issues and develop satisfying coping skills toward healthy relationships.

Medication Management: Following initial evaluation, medication management appointments are provided by psychiatrists and nurse practitioners to determine the need for medication for the treatment of psychiatric disorders and evaluate its effectiveness.
